Foreseeable misuse

Any use of the robot deviating from the intended use is deemed as misuse. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Using the robot to transport people
  • Failure to configure audible warning signals according to the environment
  • Making changes to the SICK configuration
  • Driving the robot on cross slopes
  • Exceeding the maximum payload
  • Positioning or fastening loads incorrectly according to the specifications
  • Using the robot to push objects
  • Using the robot outside commissioned areas
  • Untrained staff using the robot
  • Using the robot in areas with uninstructed bystanders
  • Using Emergency stop buttons for anything other than emergency stops
  • Using the robot before performing a risk assessment
  • Using the robot in medical and life critical applications
  • Operating the robot outside the permissible operating parameters and environmental specifications
  • Using the robot in ATEX environments
  • Using the robot outdoors
  • Using the robot in food and beverage environments
  • Using the robot in hygiene zones
  • Using the robot together with an external radio module, including MiR Wi-Fi access point dongles, that in any way results in simultaneously active radio transmitters
  • Connecting unsupported devices to the robot's electrical interfaces.

Unsupported payloads and handling

It is also foreseeable misuse to make the robot transporting unsupported loads or handling loads in unsupported ways. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Making the robot tow loads
  • Using the robot to stack pallets or to pick up pallets from stacks
  • Transporting pallets not fulfilling the technical specifications—see Pallet and payload specifications
